Fun in August

August was full of fun days for us. We have been trying to make the most of our time together since T.J. seems to be working all of the time. We spent a day in Park City with the Miners. Draeven had a great time riding the Alpine Slide, Merry go round, and then swimming too.
The annual Demolition Derby was something from the County Fair that we simply couldn't miss! Draeven saw Skiba's derby car parked on the road weeks before the big event and it was very difficult to explain to him that he had to wait for what seemed like years until the derby. We had fun watching the cars get all smashed up, Draeven and T.J. were so excited!
Thanksgiving Point's $2.00 Tuesdays! We took Draeven to a very crowded Dinosaur Museum and saw all the neat dinosaur bones. Draeven thought the bones were cool, but got pretty scared when he saw the replicas that looked like real dinosaurs. He wouldn't let go of T.J.'s hand, and wanted to be held most of the time. The giant shark really scared him, and we tried to explain to him that they weren't real, but he has a very vivid imagination, and seeing the dinosaurs up close and personal made him a little nervous.
We hiked up to the Grotto in Payson Canyon. The kids did great and it was really pretty. Draeven was nervous about the dinosaurs, elephants, and tigers in the jungle surrounding us, and kept asking where they were. What an adventure!
